How to Find a Local Art and Craft Show to Sell Your Crafts

So you're looking to turn your hobby into a trade. Arts and crafts shows can be a great way to sell and show off your products to the public. Most shows happen only once or twice a year so finding the right one can be a task. Here are a few tips to making the most out of finding a crafts show.

Search the web. Your first instinct may be to check locally for the fairs in your area. Although, finding the best ones with the most traffic may require you to research more widely known fairs. Many international fairs will not advertise to their prospective area until the last minute. Finding out about these venues might require you to follow their tour schedule months in advance.

Shop around. As a savvy business crafter, you will want to book a good show while saving money. This may take a bit of shopping around to do. Similar to renting business real estate, you will want to search around for craft shows that offer the best price to its vendors.

Learn the rules. Many craft show organizers may put limits on the amount of  products you hosts, the types of products, and even how long you can sell. Keep in mind, when shopping around, what types of limitations each show may put on you. Some rules may limit your sales, so make sure you understand all of the rules and restrictions before going forth with any venue.
